Privately owned KARE Design GmbH is an international furniture, lighting and home accessories company and the market leader in its segment. Under the slogan "joy of living", the company develops and markets unconventional design interior furnishings at attractive prices under its own KARE brand. Today, the company has over 200 KARE shops in almost fifty countries.

Growth since 1981
Since it was founded in 1981, Kare Design GmbH has grown steadily thanks to its sense of strategy and new markets, supported by a range of around 5,000 items and an average of 2,000 new products a year.
KARE's collections of furniture, lighting and decorative accessories, and above all its creative ambiences in a variety of styles, attract the attention of consumers, furniture trade partners, professional interior designers and franchise partners.
Retail, wholesale, franchising, e-commerce
The company is present in almost 50 countries worldwide with over 100 franchise shops and 100 premium shop-in-shop outlets. The furniture company also supplies hundreds of furniture and design shops in Germany and around the world.
KARE Design GmbH has its own shops in Munich, Regensburg and Vienna/Austria. These include the "KARE Kraftwerk" flagship shop opened in 2014 in Munich with 10,000 square metres of exhibition space, a design planning studio and a restaurant with a rooftop terrace in a well-known industrial monument in the city. The Flagship Store was awarded the 'Shops of the Year 2015' prize by Handelsverband Deutschland. In Germany, the furniture market pioneer also markets its products via its own online shop.
International exhibitions
KARE presents its design worlds and collections at all the major furniture fairs such as Salone del Mobile in Milan, Maison & Objet in Paris, Imm in Cologne and Ambiente in Frankfurt. In addition, KARE organises its own trade fairs as hybrid shows for its B-to-B customers in the 3,000 square metre showroom at its headquarters in Garching-Hochbrück.
Fixtures and fittings subsidiary for professionals
With the establishment of the Objekt Gmbh subsidiary in 2016, the company has created a solid base in furnishing commercial premises, restaurants, hotels and even modular homes.
