In a dining room

You wish to put a carpet under a design dining table ? We advise you to take it bigger than this one. You must count 60 cm more on each side of the table. Concretely, for a table of 80*120 cm, your carpet should ideally measure 200*240 cm. In any case, the size of the carpet must not interfere with the chairs when they are moved to sit. Finally, in terms of colour, we suggest that you do not choose a carpet that is too light in colour. Indeed, it may get dirty faster.

In a living room

The advantage of the living room is that you can afford almost anything, as long as the carpet remains in harmony with the decoration of your interior. Under a table or even under a sofa, the carpet is sure to embellish your room!

In the case of a carpet to be put under a coffee table, it must be possible to walk around the table while remaining on the carpet. As for the dining room table, count about 60 cm on each side. The same applies to the couch.

Finally, if your room is very large, you can install a large carpet in the center to occupy the available space or to create a cocooning space where you can add cushions and plaids. However, the very large carpet is to be banned for a small room or an overcrowded room. You risk creating a "stifling" atmosphere!

Little Deco tip

To make sure you don't make a mistake in the dimensions of the carpet you want to buy. Collect some newspaper sheets and arrange them as if it were a carpet. This will allow you to have an idea of your future carpet and choose the right size.
