Where to put a mirror?

The mirror is an indispensable accessory for modern decoration. Known for its ability to increase the volume effect of a room, you must however be careful to respect a few basic rules when installing it?so that it does not distort your space.

Here are a few tips, detailed for different rooms in your apartment or house, so that your mirror is well integrated into your interior.

The entrance

If your entrance is a long hallway, you may be tempted to install a mirror to enlarge the space. Be careful not to position this one facing the front door, it could bother your guests. The ideal place to install it in the entrance hall will be above a chest of drawers or other furniture that allows the mirror to be at eye level.

The living room

The living room is in a place where a mirror can easily find its place. However, we advise you to be vigilant about its location. The ideal is to position it over a sofa or sideboard for a room enlarging effect. Between two windows, a mirror will double the volume of the room. Think carefully about its location and the reflection of the mirror: a messy room does not lend itself to its installation. So think about tidying up your space before fitting it out.

A mirror can be perfectly integrated into the decoration of a room. Once again, the installation above a chest of drawers or a dressing table is preferred, as in the entrance hall.
